# AMZ Connect > AMZ Connect is a web API that returns Amazon product data as structured JSON. AMZ Connect is operated by fdmedia GmbH, a company registered in Walldorf, Germany. It is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription and is used by developers, businesses and affiliate publishers who need Amazon product data in their own sites, applications or workflows. AMZ Connect is an independent service. All four return JSON. Product lookup and search take a POST request with a JSON body, the connection test a POST request without one, and the quota check a GET request. - Product lookup returns data for one Amazon product, addressed by its ASIN and a store. - Product search returns products matching a search term within one store. - The connection test checks an API key and returns a success message, without product data. It does not consume quota. - The quota check returns how many products of the monthly quota have been used in the current month, the monthly limit, and the expiry date of the API key. It does not consume quota. A product response contains the title, the price, the main image, the rating, the number of ratings, the Prime status and the availability of the product. Requests are authenticated with an API key sent as a Bearer token in the `Authorization` header. AMZ Connect does not read Amazon at the moment of a request. Product data is obtained from a third-party data provider and served from the AMZ Connect infrastructure. Data for an ASIN is refreshed at most once per day, and at the latest every 24 hours. ## Amazon stores AMZ Connect covers Product lookup covers 24 Amazon stores: United States (amazon.com), United Kingdom (amazon.co.uk), Germany (amazon.de), France (amazon.fr), Italy (amazon.it), Spain (amazon.es), Canada (amazon.ca), Australia (amazon.com.au), Japan (amazon.co.jp), India (amazon.in), Brazil (amazon.com.br), Mexico (amazon.com.mx), Netherlands (amazon.nl), Sweden (amazon.se), Poland (amazon.pl), Turkey (amazon.com.tr), United Arab Emirates (amazon.ae), Singapore (amazon.sg), Belgium (amazon.com.be), China (amazon.cn), Egypt (amazon.eg), Ireland (amazon.ie), Saudi Arabia (amazon.sa), South Africa (amazon.co.za). Product search covers 18 of those stores. Search does not cover Belgium (amazon.com.be), China (amazon.cn), Egypt (amazon.eg), Ireland (amazon.ie), Saudi Arabia (amazon.sa), South Africa (amazon.co.za). ## Pricing of AMZ Connect AMZ Connect has no named plans. A subscription buys a number of products per month, and every subscription includes the full API. Each ASIN counts as one product per store and month, however often it is requested. The quota resets on the first day of each month. - 100 products per month: $9 per month, or $90 per year - 250 products per month: $29 per month, or $290 per year - 500 products per month: $49 per month, or $490 per year - 1,000 products per month: $99 per month, or $990 per year Yearly billing costs ten monthly rates. Prices are charged in US dollars, or in euros for customers in the euro area. Access is bounded by the monthly product volume only; there is no per-second or per-minute rate limit. Checkout and billing are handled by Freemius, Inc., which is the merchant of record for every AMZ Connect subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the term unless they are cancelled before the renewal date. AMZ Connect is sold without a general refund entitlement. A full refund is issued on request within 14 days of purchase if the API has not been used. After the API has been used, a refund request is decided case by case and must still be made within 14 days of the purchase. ## Who operates AMZ Connect AMZ Connect is operated by fdmedia GmbH, Altrottstr. 31, 69190 Walldorf, Germany. It is none of them. - **Not an Amazon service.** Amazon does not operate, endorse or sponsor AMZ Connect. - **Not the Amazon Creators API,** and not the Amazon Product Advertising API that it succeeds. Those are Amazon's own APIs and require an approved Amazon Associates account. AMZ Connect requires an AMZ Connect API key. - **Not a WordPress plugin.** AMZ Connect is an HTTP API. A plugin, application or script can call it, but there is nothing to install. - **Not a price comparison site.** AMZ Connect has no consumer-facing product and sells no goods. - **Not a bulk data feed.** Data is requested per ASIN or per search term, not delivered as a catalogue export. - **Not a source of data read at request time.** Responses reflect the most recent refresh, which is at most 24 hours old. ## Questions about AMZ Connect ### Is AMZ Connect affiliated with Amazon? Product data for an ASIN is refreshed at most once per day and at the latest every 24 hours.
